Build your own dancing robot from scratch: You solder the electronic components on a circuit board, assemble the mechanical parts and decorate your robot. Then you create a choreography using a special software. At the end of the two-day workshop you can take your DanceBots home to program more dance moves.
Together with Zonta, we conducted seven 2-day DanceBots workshops for girls throughout Switzerland in 2020/2021:

Zonta International was founded in November 1919. In October 2019 Zonta Switzerland celebrated its centenary with a festive event in Lucerne. The program included a panel discussion on "Digitalisation and Gender Gap", the awarding of the PRIX ZONTA to two young female researchers and a benefit concert. Because it is a priority for Zonta International to strengthen young women in the STEM subjects, they chose "mint&pepper" as the anniversary project. With the proceeds generated by the benefit concert and the support of various sponsors, seven DanceBots workshops for girls in German-speaking Switzerland were financed to promote the next generation of STEM students.
Zonta International is a worldwide non-governmental organization, committed to the empowerment of women at work and in our society. The 23 Zonta Clubs in Switzerland and Liechtenstein are all affiliated to the Intercity Union. Zonta International has a Consultative Status with the UNO and UNESCO, UNICEF, UNIFEM, ILO and supports many projects of these organisations to improve the situation of women worldwide.
